Doing manual imaging using a device to install the image into the PC because the multicast method cannot be applied due to server down. This took more time than the usual process.

Mr. Kok explained about the installation of Operating System into a Solaris using UNIX. This process is consuming long hours for the server to be loaded.

Training : Day 11
The same procedures repeated. Today, Mr Eng asked each of us to complete the task on our own without the help of others. This is to make sure that if there is any errors ir will be easier to detect and we could actually learn to do it ourselves.

Training : Day 10
Getting to know the hardwares and the functions of it. The power supply, SRAM, SDRAM, RAM, HDD and etc and on how to handle the hardware the right way. Integrating the hardwares that comes to the department into the computers and servers. The parts that need to be installed inside the PCs and others.

Training : Day 9
Steps on working in Integration Department :
- Wait for tge boxes of packages to arrive from the customers.
- Check the pick slip of the quantity of the hardwares that comes with it.
- Check the requirements of the company whether to put any image or anything.
- Make the warranty sticker and stick it on the hardwares.
- Do the postage sticker with the receiving company particulars and barcode.
- Scan the package and update the serial number.
- Send the packages to the store room.

Training : Day 7
Doing cloning process for 20 PCs using imaging software. After that, continue on adapting with the steps that need to be taken on handling the equipments that is being delivered. There are 5 other trainees from Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman and they are, Kevin, Jefferey, Kheng Ang, Pang and Bryan. We delegate jobs and helped each other around with the workloads.

Assigned to work at the Integration Department for this two weeks. Mr Eng gave brief explaination on basic procedures of handling the equipments with care.
Training : Day 5
Today I am about to get physical! My supercvisor's going to have this 2 weeks of training or something, so he had assigned me working into other department. The Integration Department, where all the hardwares are being handled there. These hardwares includes monitors,personal computers, laptops, servers, hard disks drive, ram and etc. The person in charged for the department is Mr. Eng Hock Kun. He gave us briefing about the job that we need to do and how to handle things step by step. Basically it is about integrating the hardwares and ways to handle it with care.

Training : Day 3
My supervisor, Mr. Steven showed us and explained about the role of each departments and their key companies which also their biggest project clients such as Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB), Japan Tobacco International (JTI), Public Bank Berhad, Philip Morris International and etc.
Basically, CSC is an IT services company that provides advises for companies related to security measurements, setting up a network and anything that involves computers and systems.
I am assigned to work under System Integration Department. I have been told that the systems that they are working with are mostly Microsoft related. The flow of the services of the system is that they are handling calls from the customers regarding their inquiries on the services that they received and then the calls will be transferred to respective department based on the customer's need.

Today I was asked to read the Customer Service Advisers Welcome Kit. It is like a booklet of ways to treating customers the right way. The kit also includes the etiquettes, personal skills, professional ways of handling customers and team work implementation. This is very important as the company provides services so they have to maintain the relationship with customers and handling them well to preserve the good reputation for the organization.

Training : Day 1
I arrived around 7.30am,drove myself here and waited until around 8.45am until i have the guts to enter the company building. My work starts at 9.00am and I do not know anyone in the company at that moment. So i sat at the lobby sofa to wait for my friend that happened to be doing her industrial training at the same company.
Soon, she arrives with an officer from the company. He then introduces us to our respective reporting supervisor. My supervisor named Mr. Steven Soo Tiam Wah. His Designation is as the Senior Customer Support Manager in the System Infrastructure Department for ESI Services Division.
He given me briefing about the company, I was assigned to handle the system department, which under systems integrations company,therefore, I am responsible to deal with software development or software support.
My reporting hours is from 9.00am until 6.00pm.
